how replace 100's of serial numbers in IB with new serial number due to Truck accident

We have a situation like this

1. item with Serial numbers received from Supplier against a PO

2.We shipped the product to Customer , created Installed base , service contract

3. due to truck accident we need to send new Items

4. Now we have to replace the previously shipped serial number with New Serial number

Now My questions are

1.  What is right process to replace the serial numbers in bulk as per oracle standard flow

2. Is there any alternate option available to change 100's of wrong serial number ( Installed base) with new Serial number. ( There are incident when a Shipment truck involved in a an accident and we need to replace the produces with 100's of new serial number) in IB /SC module.
