Adding Custom Acknowledgements to OnBoarding Activity Guide

I am just starting to look at the delivered 9.2 Fluid OnBoarding activity guide.  I see that there is an Acknowledgement step, which has led to a couple of questions.

1. Can we have multiple custom acknowledgements in a clone of the delivered OnBoarding template?  I see the ability to add multiple steps under Acknowledgements.

2. How do I call a custom acknowledgement?  I have configured a custom Acknowledgement Configuration with a unique Acknowledgement ID.  I have cloned the delivered OnBoarding Activity Guide Category, and I have cloned the OnBoarding for USA Activity Guide Template.  In the cloned template, I added an additional Acknowledgement step.  How do I link the custom acknowledgement to the acknowledgement step?
