US Pay 12.2.6 - Timecard alias pay type to skip max hours rule

edited Apr 6, 2020 7:53PM in Payroll and OTL - EBS (MOSC) Question

We have a need to allow staff to select a sick leave element that does not get included in our regular OTL rule which checks for exceeding the employee's standard 80 hours for the 2-week pay period.  Instead of setting up a new sick element in Payroll, we were hoping to just set up a new OTL alias pointing to the existing sick leave element but have a way for the OTL rule to ignore those hours.

It appears that the seeded "HXC_TIME_CATEGORY_COMPARISON" formula uses the Time Category "Hours Towards Minimum" in which the existing sick leave element is already defined.  When I created a new alias called "Supplemental SL" and tied it to the existing element "Sick Leave", the OTL rule is still including the new "Supplemental SL" alias's hours in the "Hours Towards Minimum" comparison.  So it looks like the Time Category lists the internal element name and not the OTL alias.

Howdy, Stranger!
