Best Method to Upgrade RHEL 5 to 7 w/ RDBMS 11.2.0.3

Hi, we have a need to upgrade the server OS from RHEL 5.7 to 7.x and would like to know what is the best approach to do this. Below is stats about our current environment

OS Version: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.7 (Tikanga)

RDBMS: 11.2.0.3.0 Enterprise Edition

Env:  Production

Hardware: VM

Standby: Physical standby at remote site, Active Data Guard

Backup: RMAN
