Error 491A with BRR. Carrier and MOT are populated.

The FAQ for Troubleshooting Routing Issues Doc ID 1463466 says that error 491A is issued with Freight Handling Code BRR when Carrier and MOT have not been entered.

We populate Carrier and MOT by preference and these fields are not blank. The special handling code for BRR is 9. Error 491A appears when the Row Exit Routing Options is clicked.

Has anyone had this error when the setup for Bypass Rating and Routing is correct?

Question 1 – What causes Routing Invalid error when using bypass routing and rating freight handling code (BRR)?

Answer 1 – When using the Bypass Routing and Rating (BRR) freight handling code (special handling code = 9), both the Carrier and Mode of Transport are required to be entered in order for routing and rating to be bypassed. If either is missing, the system will attempt to route and rate the shipment and issues the error if no Routes/Rates are set up. The carrier may be entered in either the sales order header or detail or it may be defaulted from the customer billing instructions.
