ORA-00020: maximum number of processes exceeded

Hello,

Since today morning I'm getting follwing notification:

ORA-00020: No more process state objects available

ORA-20 errors will not be written to the alert log for  the ORA-20 errors.

ORA-00020: maximum number of processes 500 exceeded

ORA-20 errors will not be written to the alert log for  the ORA-20 errors.

I have 500 processes set up as a parameter. I expanded this value to 600 and bounced db.

From application side they asked me about setting timout so that old connections can close themselves if idle.

In the list of sessions I saw 462 following lines:
