Page and Field Configurator - Override display only checkbox from App Designer

Is there a way to override a display only checkbox from app designer by using Page and Field Configurator?  I marked the field display only in page and field configurator and applied the configuration.  Then I went back and unchecked it in hopes that it would override the display only checkbox in app designer.
