How to pick item less than what is requested in Sales Order?

Hello Team,

Need to understand the process flow for picking the items less than the Qty mentioned in the sales order line. For e.g. I have only one SO line which I BOOKED for 5 QTY and now while picking it, I need only 3 QTY, so that later I can Ship confirm only 3 items?

Further, to add here, my item is serialized so I will be providing the S/N only for the items which are picked before I shipped them and just an FYI.. we are in the WMS enabled org.

Please please the process here?
