Difference between FDMEE TDATAMAP & TDATAMAPSEG table

Hi FDMEE Experts,

Could you please explain the difference between FDMEE TDATAMAP and TDATAMAPSEG table.

I am aware that both the tables hold data load mappings for each location however what I dont understand is how they are different from each other and its participation in the FDMEE fish process (Import/Validate/Export)

Appreciate any help!
