Inventory Onhand Value Trend Report

Good day, all!

I have a request to find the "high water mark" for our inventory value over the last quarter. The data is absolutely there in the DB for the mining by backing out one transaction at a time, but I would like to avoid unnecessarily reinventing the wheel. Is anyone aware of a report similar to "Transaction historical summary" that would give a daily value over a given period (without being run 90 times to get the last three months of data)? I am not finding anything promising, but this seems like it might be a relatively common question to ask.
