Siebel host name with Hyphen in Linux environment

Hi ,

I have a conflict to use Siebel host name with hyphen in RHLinux environment.

e.g  SBL.abc.gov (Old Host name)  , SBL-1.abc.ispto.gov (New host name)

Is there any Siebel recommendation for Siebel host names should not be used with hyphen in RHLinux environment? I found this article in Oracle support but its related Windows environment ((Doc ID 477993.1).

Any document is much appreciated.
