Upgrade from 12c to 19c in a Data Guard environment (Primary first, Standby later)

Hi all ,

we have to upgrade our productional environment from Oracle release 12c to release 19c.Our productional environment consists of a Primary database and a Standby database. Since we need to upgrade the database during a weekend (incl. testing etc.) we plan not to use the export/import method for the migration (takes too long). Instead of that we currently prefer the direct upgrade method. Our idea is to upgrade the Primary database first and do the required application tests on the upgraded Primary database. If all tests succeed we will upgrade the Standby database - if too many tests on the upgraded
