CTO Changes- Star item manually updated but its not reflecting back on sales order with new componen

Hi Experts,

we are exploring CTO changes.

Is there any way we can update star items on sales order. scenario is we have entered sales order with ATO Model then invoke the configurator and selected couple of option.

Sales order line is progressed and created start item after the creation of star item we come to know there is addition of one more component is required and we don't want to changes already created star item so we have updated BOM manually for Star item and added new component but we are not able to see it in sales order show line details. Do we have any to achieve this? so that BOM and sales order will be in sync..
