Upgrading Grid infrastructure from 12.1.0.2 to 19c

Hi All,

We have two node 2 with RHEL 7.6 on 12.1.0.2  . We want to  upgrade  from 12.1.0.2 to 19.6 or 19.3 ( which ever has less issues at the time of upgrade )  .

Considering 19.6 I want to apply the Jan2020 RU and one patch (30523200)  on 19.3 home while running the gridSetup.sh   as I see  there is issue with the Jan 2020 RU while upgrading (ASM issue while running the rootupgrade.sh on node1 for which  bug fix is to apply  30523200 patch, the same on 19.3 too   )

Question

1. Should I be running the grid installation like the below  . Is this correct

$GI_HOME/gridSetup.sh -applyRU <downloaded patch location/Jan2020RU/patchnumber> -
