RR table query in OM/EAI logs - processing

Recently upgrade to latest siebel version IP9

OM and EAI logs have traces of RR table query, yes its obvious due to run time repository.

My question is around RR table execution time. Lets say if there are n+ query running, will it not add additional time to processing ?

Just want to understand the background about this processing, please share your comments.
