Oracle 12.2 - Keep running out of memory

Hi all

We have an RHEL6 (Oracle 12.2 (SE) server that is used (mostly) for generating reports.  It part of a seven node "cluster" running an application from a different vendor.

The server continually runs out of memory.  It is a VM that initially had 24GB but has been extended up to 160GB and still ran out of memory.  At that point the SGA/PGA settings were manually specified:

sga_max_size                         big integer 32G

sga_target                           big integer 32G

pga_aggregate_limit                  big integer 0

pga_aggregate_target                 big integer 32G

Currently:

- 64GB "physical" RAM

- 8G swap

- above sga/pga settings are "0" (zero)

Howdy, Stranger!
