How to Allow/disallow transaction on an existing material status that is already in use?

Hi,

we are using R12.1.3.

How to Allow/disallow transaction on an existing material status that is already in use?

we are trying to add some trasnaction in disallowed transaction list. but system it not allowing to add.

Receive the error:

“Cannot Update Status. On hand inventory or inventory location exist with Awaiting QC.”
