Downgrade GI from 18c back to 12.1.0.2

Oracle GI 18c on Oracle Linux 6.

Another fun day. Another lengthy post.

Has anyone downgraded an 18c Oracle Restart/stand-alone ASM back to an earlier version?

Before upgrading my GI (standalone – ASM and Oracle Restart) from 21.1.0.2 to 18c, I want to make sure I can downgrade if necessary.  So I set up a little VM to practice on. I have previous threads detailing the adventure of finding the instructions for installing and upgrading to 18c. Of course they don't exist, so had chart my own course. Once I checked back with my own notes for previous upgrades, the upgrade from 12.1 to 18c went pretty smoothly.
