Creating higher version standby of 12.2 from a lower version primary 12.1

Hello!

 

I have searched to get an answer to this question of "Is it possible to create a higher version (12.2) standby from a lower version (12.1) primary database?".  to no avail.  Would someone who have tried this or have knowledge of, please answer this question?  I know major components between higher version such as catalog get a lot of changes, however, I would still like to confirm if its doable or not.
