Reprice the order line, manual discounts and charges are not removed

Dear gurus,

Sales order line has manual and automatic discounts and charges, pricing flag = Calculate Price.

(1) if choose Action->Copy line with reprice and specify the pricing date,  then MANUAL discounts and charges are REMOVED and automatic discounts and charges are recalculated.

(2) if choose Action-> Price line, then MANUAL discounts and charges are NOT REMOVED. Customer supposes it is not correct, manual discounts and charges have be removed.

I have found docs about correctness of point (1), but have not found any docs about correctness\incorrectness of point (2).

Any help or clarification would be appreciated.
