expire a password of a locked ID

For mostly paranoia-related reason I want to expire passwords of some oracle ID which are currently locked in databases versions 11.2, 12.1, 12.2 and 19. I think this change is going to be completely transparent because the IDs are locked and thus are not used. Is there anything I am missing that can lead to an issues with access in such situation? Thank you
