Oracle Projects Number on Journal Entry to display in GL detail

Hello -

We have an ask from Finance Leadership as to whether there is a way for a user to enter a project number via a DFF on a JE and then see it as the reference in the GL detail. The project number would be entered/captured for informational purposes only so  so when we look at the GL detail we’d be able to see a corresponding project number too.  I have opened a SR on this same topic but do not seem to be making much progress so thought I would post here as well.
