Manual Ship Confirm for Drop Ship Orders

Hi Team,

Could you please provide your inputs on below scenario,

# When actual demand comes from end customer, we inform our supplier and they keep the shipment ready.

# Our carrier picks the shipment and deliver to end customer.

# When our carrier picks the shipment,the ownership gets transferred to us until it gets delivered.

# Is there any way that we can track the qty (example In-transit) ?

# We are reviewing drop-ship functionality but as soon as i logically receive, SO line automatically gets close
