Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC)

I am planning to upgrade my 12.1 databases to 12.2 .

Hi -

I have a linux database server that is running 8 databases at 12.1

I am planning to upgrade them to 12.2

I read that I must first upgrade the grid_home to 12.2

Here is my question:

I am not sure what the process is for the grid home upgrade.

I assume I create a new 12.2 home, but I cannot find a document that explains the process of the upgrade.

I am not running clusterware, but am running ASM.

Can someone point me to a good doc that explains this ?
