When is a static listener configuration required /useful (non RAC)

Hello all,

in my job i inherited quite a bunch of older databases to care for. I plan to restructure and modernize the installatios one by one. All databases are Non-RAC. Most of them have a static listener configuration. Some newer instances work fine with dynamic registration .

I wonder about the risks involved when I change all DBs to dynamic registration ?

Does anyone have an opinion about it and likes to share ?
