What is the difference between %1 svbt and sfx arrays

Hi,

When we go to the measure database we see multiple arrays within if which are measure_name<sfx>.ary measure_name<svbt>.ary or measure_name%1 ary.

I see the correct values of the measure at base intx is getting stored in %1 ary but what the other arrayas are used for.

I see in one of the post that there are %2 %3 %4 ary which are aggregation of base intx and created on the fly. What is the use of these other types of arrays
