Garnishment Law Source guidance
Would anyone feel comfortable sharing how their organization populates the Garn Rule table State Garn Law field on the GARN_SPEC6 page?
Do you select the state in which the employee works or the state in which the garishment order was received from?
The highlighted statement below from Peoplebooks seems to indicate the work state would be used if orders were received from multiple states which leads me to believe the state of issuance should be used when only one order is in place. Am I interpreting this correctly?
