Question about applying weblogic patch 30857748 to 10.3.6 on Hyperion Planning servers running 11.1.

We are running Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4 and the certification matrix says that the highest Weblogic version is 10.3.6.  The readme for the highest weblogic patch 30857748  suggests that "It is required to use Java SE 7 with WLS 10.3.6 as Java SE 6 has reached the end of Extended Support."  .. however the certification for Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4 indicates that the highest level of JDK is 1.6.0_211.

To apply weblogic patch 30857748 to 10.3.6 on these Hyperion servers then would JDK 1.7 work or should I stay with only upgrading to the highest version of 1.6.0?
