Can we create external table using dblink in my select query

Hello experts,

                       This is a scenario where I may need to create external table fetching data from remote site using a dblink.This is because of the fact that remote site is active standby database so I can not create external table on that.If anybody has any experience or suggestion please let me know.Just to let you know this is a daily process which will export 10 M rows every day from that remote site.
