Extended Absence

Hi,

Is there any documentation on Extended Absence other than from the Peoplebook?   I read the Peoplebook on Extended Absence and understand the required set up.  But, from the operational and processing point of view, I don't understand how the a leave plan set up for Extended Absence differs from regular absences.

For example:

• Once set up for EA, is that right the absence must request via "Extended Absence Request", and manage via "Administer Extended Absence"?
• How do we track intermittent Extended Absence such as FMLA?  Using regular absence along with an approved Extended Absence?
• Is it true that the Application Class Peoplecode only perform Extended Absence Eligibility check, the rest for the business logic stay in Entitlement and Day formulas?
