Person Type Customer link to HR Employee

We want to start using person type customer in AR and creating an account associated with their HR employee record. We have set the AR: Show Parties Without Accounts in DQM = Yes.  When we search for an employee name we see multiple records and are not sure which one to create an account under. How do we know which record to choose to get the HR Employee record? And once created how do we know this is the HR employee record the account was created under?
