Duplicate Cycle Count Sequence

Hi Oracle experts in the community,

Appreciate that you could help advise me on the cycle count sequence number topic below.

My Oracle Applications version:  12.2.5

Problem Description :

The cycle count team of my company is running the cycle count program DAILY. And, users are saying that the sequence number should be unique and SHOULD NOT be used for different part number in the same cycle count request throughout the calendar year (we practise annual compile). Users submit a cycle count request for each sub-inventory.

However, user found there are multiple occurrences where the same sequence number in the same sub-inventory is being assigned to different part number.
