Revision v Update

Come to patch a 12.1.0.2 database that the inventory says has patch 28822638 (Oct 2018 DB Revision 1) applied. Suspect this was applied in error and should have been DB update for Jan 2019 (28822515). I've seen various blogs and videos explaining the new patching paths, but not sure on what I can apply from hereon. What do I apply next? Can I apply April 2019 DBUpdate (29314339) or do I have to go to Oct 2018 DB revision 2 (29230821)? If it's the latter what do I apply after revision 2? I realise this is a few updates behind, and don't want to jump straight to the current update as I
