Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Hello,

We are on Oracle Database-12cR2 on Win-2012 and we are not using RMAN currently.

Is Oracle hot backup without RMAN recommended for production OLTP systems. Ours is a Peoplesoft database of around 1.5 TB.

Kindly advise.
