Testing an implemented backup method

We want to perform a restore test from the implemented backup and I have some quiestions on the exact process

Scenario:

  - Windows 2012

  - Oracle Database 12.1

  - Grid Infrastructure 12.2

  - Database configured with Dataguard (physical standby)

  - Database storage in ASM

  - Fast Recovery Area in file system

  - Backup: RMAN backup on standby database

  - RMAN catalog on a third server

  - Controlfile autobackup is enabled

The restore has been requested to be done on a totally separate server:

  - Clone of primary server (including Windows, Oracle installations, local Windows accounts and Windows services)

  - IP and host name identical to original server (done by the hosting provider)
