Inventory Cost Level 3 - Change to 2

Hi,

We currently have some stock items with Inventory cost level = 3 - Item/Branch/Lot/Location. We are considering changing the cost level to 2 = Item/Branch for these items.

What risks are there with doing this or best practice in making this change to maintain accurate inventory accounting?

Note: We use weighted/average cost (02) for these items.
