Does anyone know how to create short URLs to Employee and Manager Self Service transactions in Peopl

We are trying to add direct links to these self-service transactions and other forms in PeopleSoft onto our company's intranet but there is a 400 character restriction for URLs.  The PeopleSoft URLs are anywhere from 500 to 1000+ characters.  I know there are sites like bitly that can convert long URLs to shorter strings, but I'm wondering if there's a way to generate shorter URLs from PeopleSoft so that we don't have to convert them.
