Orchestrator UBE data structure needed for data selection?

I created a custom UBE in tools 9.2.4.3 and created an orchestration to run the UBE. What I found was when I try to pass in data selection the orchestrator is not honoring the data selection. I am passing in data selection following E1: ORCH: Orchestration Report Service Request- How to Pass Data Selection Values Dynamically To Report (Doc ID 2449326.1).

I have tested other UBEs in our environment and the other UBEs data selection is being honored when updated via orchestrator.

My question is:

How is the orchestration calling the UBE?

What is the correct way to setup a UBEs data structure so data selection is available to orchestrator?
