User Defined Depreciation Methods

Has anyone used used/created User-Defined Asset Depreciation Method in PeopleSoft Asset Asset Management that would like to share setup, experiences and business cases as to when this was used.

We are on 9.2.34 Tool 8.57.04.

I would appreciate any knowledge sharing possible.
