Problem with Code Editor locking up in APEX.

Has anyone experienced this before and was able to fix? I prefer to use the Chrome browser to develop in APEX. I login to APEX Product Build 20.1 create an application then in page designer I add a region top page 1 called "interactive report". For the source I select "SQL Query" then launch the Code Editor. This is where my issue happens. The Code Editor locks up and the only thing I can do is hit the left arrow button on my browser to go back. Everything else is unresponsive.
