RMAN backup takes too long time using Netbackup Intelligent Policies
Hi,
We have a database that holds approximately 4'5 TB of data.
The backup with Veritas Netbackup Intelligent policies takes 12-14 hours, and I thik it would be executed more efficiently.
In a 24h AWR report the main background wait events are:
Event | Waits | %Time -outs | Total Wait Time (s) | Avg wait (ms) | Waits /txn | % bg time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Backup: MML data movement done? | 18,790 | 0 | 44,768 | 2383 | 0.01 | 49.30 |
Backup: MML create a backup piece | 35 | 0 | 514 | 14691 | 0.00 | 0.57 |
Backup: MML commit backup piece | 35 | 0 | 180 | 5148 | 0.00 | 0.20 |
Backup: MML write backup piece | 226,780 | 0 | 42 | 0 | 0.10 | 0.05 |
Backup: MML shutdown | 11 | 0 | 22 | 1990 | 0.00 | 0.02 |
Does anyone know what is Backup: MML data movement done?
We are using Oracle 11.2.0.3 (standalone) and Veritas Netbackup Intelligent Policies with deduplication.
