Kit split line number overridden

Sales order has kit item and it got split. Kit has more components(my case around 17 components) When R42997 runs it overridden kit component line number.

Line number getting overridden only if have more component items.

Kit parent line number is 1.000 and components numbers are from 1.010 to 1.170, split kit parent line number is 1.200 and component line numbers are 1.210 to 1.370. But line number 1.280 and 1.290 line numbers overidden to 1.180 and 1.190 respectively by R42997.

Is there any logic or bug in R42997 to overridden line number of component.
