archivelog and cumulative backup - delete obsolete

Hi all

full backup - saturday

cumulative backup - sun to friday

 

1) will oracle delete the cumulative backup ( sun, mon, tues ) when delete obsolete is issued on the current day ?

 

2) will oracle delete archivelogs ( 100 to 500 ) not required / obsolete in the retention policy but generated after the required fullbackup 1 ?

 

3) if the archivelogs are not required - why are they not deleted ? and yet the obsolete cumulative backup ( sun, mon, tues ) are deleted ?

Currently when i issue delete obsolete - archivelog 100 to 500 is not deleted but cumulative backup sun, mon, tues are deleted
