Import/export data to/from excel spreadsheet in 9.2

Hello,

Is there a way to use old functionality inJDE for import/export data to/from excel spreadsheet in 9.2, TR 9.2.3.5, with any browser( IE, firefox, chrome, edge...? I know that ActiveX is only a IE funtionality since it is a Microsoft program, but what about the rest of the browsers?
