ORA-00600 [17090] when connecting to ATP - always free

I'm trying tio start using ATP from the "always free" tier, but I'm not able to connect.

I'm getting ORA-00600 [17090] errors while trying to connect from sqlplus to ATP-always free.

I tried using sqlplus from instant client 18.5, sqlplus from instant client 19.6, sqlplus from a "full" 12.2 client; I always got this error.

I am able to connect using SQLcl and using SQL Developer, but I need to connect from the good-old client in order to use impdp.
