Oracle 19c GI install failed with root.sh - Died at /grid/app/product/19.3.0.0/grid/crs/install/crsi

Hi gurus,

Oracle 19c GI install failed with root.sh - Died at /grid/app/product/19.3.0.0/grid/crs/install/crsinstall.pm line 2373.

I am installing Oracle 19cR3 on 2-node VM servers with red hat Linux 7, passed all the pre-install checks so I started gridsetup.sh to install and reached the point of running root.sh, but the process died at step 16 of 19. Note I set umask to 022 for user root, grid and oracle

[root@ul04-2700-001 grid]# ./root.sh

Performing root user operation.

The following environment variables are set as:

ORACLE_OWNER= grid

ORACLE_HOME= /grid/app/product/19.3.0.0/grid
