Oracle Database Appliance X8-2 core license setup

Hi,

Our Customer has ODA X8-2M as standby and X8-2HA for primary database.

I still confuse how to setup the cores as license their ordered.

They have 12 core license  ODA X8-2M ordered and 16 core license X8-2HA (8 core for each ODA).

Number of cores were assigned to ODA by default 32 core. Currently shape odb02 configured

Base on the license they have, should we need to reduce the core on ODA appliance or  just modify the shape to 12 core (shape odb12]  and 8 core each ODA on X8-2HA [odb08].

Is license of ODA configuration implemen base on cores enable/activated on ODA appliance or shape ?
