Is there any standard way of restricting the usage of certain accounts?

Hi All

Is there any standard way of restricting the usage of certain accounts only for certain sources and certain Ledgers. Note that all ledgers use same COA structure and hence third party control cannot be used. Also both the ledgers share the same responsibilities and hence cannot use security rules. Is there any other standard way of doing this?
