Two SOA environments running connected to the same database

Hello Team,

     I want to know if the below scenario would work and if there can be any  potential issues in this scenario.

Please do let me know your thoughts..

A clone(file system) of a working SOA environment is set up on a new piece of hardware.

Both Old & New application hosts wont communicate with same network so there would be no IP issues.

Both the environments would be set up with the same virtual hostnames.

However,both the environments would be pointed to the same database.

Assuming same transactions are not initiated together from both the environments,are there chances of any issues popping up?
