Oracle restart for standalone server errors (PRCD-1024 & PRCR-1055)

Hi,

I'm trying to install a Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 19c with Oracle Restart for Standalone Server. I am not using ASM/RAC/Cluters etc - I just want Oracle Restart for a Standalone Server.

When I run /u01/app/oracle/product/18.0.0/dbhome_1/bin/srvctl start database -d TESTDB I get the following errors:

PRCD-1024 : Failed to retrieve instance list for database -d TESTDB

PRCR-1055 : Cluster membership check failed for node testdb_server

Some people have reported that this error happens because cssd was not starting with GI by default if you choose the software only installation (I used the software only installation method). Therefore, need to set the AUTO_START attribute:
